Care built on relationships

Barc began with Bec and Marc, two names that, fittingly, became one.

They started it in 2016 on a simple belief: a dog deserves to be truly known by the people who care for them, and families who work and travel shouldn’t have to settle for less. Nearly a decade on, that belief hasn’t changed. Good care isn’t a service you book, but a relationship you build.

Today, Barc is a small, expert-led team delivering high-calibre care across the Northern Beaches. We’ve stayed deliberately boutique (small numbers, deep relationships, no compromise) because it’s the only way to provide the care we believe in. We’ve won Pet Training Services at the Australian Small Business Champion Awards twice, in 2022 and 2023, and have been finalists in the Northern Beaches Local Business Awards for several years running.

The Barc philosophy

The Barc Method

Proper long-term care isn’t about minding a dog. It’s about setting them up to thrive, by understanding who your dog really is and building their care around it. Simple, but never left to chance.

  • 1

We get to know your dog

An in-person behavioural assessment in your dog’s own environment, and your chance to meet the real team behind Barc.

  • 2

    We build their care plan

A plan made for your dog, on a consistent schedule. The rhythm that lets us build a real relationship, so they settle easily whenever you’re busy.

  • 3

    We introduce them slowly

Their first day is about familiarity. From there we introduce your dog to each pack and team member at their own pace, so they always feel safe. We never put dogs together who aren’t the right fit.

A note on how we work

Caring this personally means small numbers, on purpose. Places across our programs are genuinely limited, the only way to give care at this level.

The people behind Barc

Meet the team

People book people. Your dog is cared for by a small team who get to know them properly.
